Trump Gold Card Visa: $1,000,000 Green Card

On September 19, 2025, the White House announced the Trump Gold Card, a visa program created by Executive Order and overseen by the Department of Commerce in coordination with the Department of State and the Department of Homeland Security. The Gold Card is intended to facilitate U.S. entry for foreign nationals who demonstrate their commitment to supporting the U.S. economy through a significant financial gift.

Trump Gold Card Visa Features

Investment Requirement

  • $1 million gift from an individual.
  • $2 million gift made by a corporation or similar entity on behalf of an individual.

Use of Funds

Contributions are directed to the Department of Commerce and deposited into a Treasury fund to promote U.S. commerce and industry.

Visa Classification

The gift will be treated as evidence of eligibility under the existing EB-1A: Extraordinary Ability and EB-2: National Interest Waiver employment-based immigrant visa categories.

Adjudication and Procedures

  • The Secretary of State and the Secretary of Homeland Security will adjudicate applications in coordination with the Secretary of Commerce.
  • A new expedited application process will be created, including application fees and possible transfer rules for corporate-sponsored applicants.
  • Visa numbers remain subject to existing annual limits under the Immigration and Nationality Act.

Timeline for Implementation

  • The Executive Order requires agencies to implement the program within 90 days of September 19, 2025.
  • As of December 10, 2025, applications may now be submitted.
