Kyle Barella
Managing Attorney
Kyle Barella is the Managing Attorney of Barella Global’s offices in London and Brussels. An experienced U.S. immigration lawyer, he advises clients on investor and business expansion visas, family sponsorship, and admissibility matters. As a citizen of Chile, the United States, and Belgium, Kyle offers a truly global perspective, drawing on his cross-cultural background to guide clients through complex immigration processes.
In the business arena, Kyle assists entrepreneurs and foreign enterprises with U.S. market entry through a range of visa categories, including the E-2 Treaty Investor Visa, E-1 Treaty Trader Visa, L-1 Expansion/Intracompany Transfer Visa, B-1 in lieu of H-1B Visa, and O-1A Extraordinary Ability Visa. He also represents multinational companies in EB-1C permanent residency sponsorship for managers and executives, as well as individuals of extraordinary ability in obtaining EB-1A or EB-2 NIW green cards.
Beyond business matters, Kyle represents U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents (LPRs) in green card sponsorship cases for their qualifying foreign national family members. He particularly enjoys assisting U.S. citizens residing abroad in the UK or Europe with the direct filing of spousal sponsorship petitions through local U.S. consular posts, a process that can significantly reduce overall processing times. Kyle also advises clients seeking entry to the United States who require a waiver of inadmissibility due to criminal convictions, controlled substance violations, misrepresentation or fraud, immigration violations, and other admissibility issues. He has successfully secured both temporary (212(d)(3)) and permanent (I-601) waivers for a range of inadmissibilities, including controlled substance violations and crimes involving moral turpitude (CIMT), on behalf of both corporate and individual clients.
Kyle has shared his expertise with the legal community as a faculty member at the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Annual Conference and at multiple AILA Rome District Chapter conferences. He also serves on the TRTCLE faculty, delivering Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses on U.S. immigration and visa matters.
Before establishing Barella Global, Kyle practiced with a U.S. immigration law firm in London and served as External General Counsel to the EB-5 investment advisory firm, Choice Investments.
Kyle earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Ave Maria School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from George Mason University. During his undergraduate studies, he spent a semester at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy, focusing on Italian history.
He is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and its Rome District Chapter. In addition to his native English, Kyle is proficient in Spanish.
